About me

Paul David Alfonso Gutiérrez-Cárdenas

I focused my research interests on diversity, distribution and ecology of Colombian amphibians (frogs, salamanders, caecilians) and reptiles (lizards, snakes, turtles), mainly those ocurring on the Pacific region, and on the both Western and Eastern Cordilleras.

In the field of population and community ecology, my research foci include several aspects of reproductive ecology (e.g. sexual selection, parental care), use of spatial and trophic resources, and community organization based on the use of those resources. Other interests are parasitism and ecotoxicology.
